Representatives of the public and private sector in New Zealand will explore the financial mechanisms to create a private market that supports sustainable, affordable, environmentally-friendly housing in this IVLP project. Participants will also examine federal, state, and local initiatives to address the causes of homelessness in the U.S., as well as helping improve the economic security of low-income populations. Finally, the project will examine the environmental impact of housing development and the role developers play in sustainable environmental policies.
