International Engagement Intern

An international engagement internship at Global Ties Kalamazoo is a fantastic opportunity for students in any field with a passion for relationship and skill building with a unique international, intercultural, relational edge. The intern will assist in the development of well-rounded programs with local organizations, businesses and institutions that meet the learning objectives of both those visiting from abroad and our local community. This role will include helping identify possible projects, submit proposals, develop itineraries, enter and process data, escort groups and support with data collection and reporting. The intern will also assist with developing, creating and monitoring social media and other communications. The intern can expect to enhance their cross-cultural perspective and awareness; develop international relationships and contacts; build their skillset with real world experience; and help Global Ties Kalamazoo fulfill its mission. Our reach is both global and hyper local. We need to raise awareness locally of GTK to identify additional partners, volunteers and opportunities. On the other hand we have alumni from across the globe we want to stay in touch with and continue to support their work. Exchange is for Everybody is our tagline. As an international engagement intern you will help us to spread that message and contribute to our mission.
