This virtual project will examine advocacy strategies and best practices in advocating for and promoting awareness of LGBTI rights in the face of social and political opposition.  It is expected that participants will also discuss the role of government, civil society, and international bodies in promoting and protecting human rights, preventing human rights abuses, enforcing human rights laws and policies, and sharing best practices in freedom of expression.  This project will also enable participants to focus on innovative techniques for managing civil society organizations, building sustainable organizational structures, effectively using volunteers, leveraging social media and other technologies, and designing effective programming for social change.
