Water Resources Management

This IVLP project will focus on the U.S. experience in protecting shared water resources increasingly at risk from pollution, depletion, population growth, industrial expansion, rainfall changes, and inadequate or disputed access rights. Participants will assess regional and trans-boundary water management programs and discuss institutional, financial, scientific, and technical innovations for safeguarding freshwater sources. They also will examine best practices in water conservation and wastewater management in urban areas, the agricultural sector, and vulnerable environments.
