Connecting Youth Development Advocates Across the Globe
Currently engaged in a participatory planning process with partners in Singapore to engage in virtual exchange, leading to two in-person exchanges, one in the U.S. and one in Singapore, focused on building up the people doing the work to empower our youth.
This project involves coordinating a Community of Practice for Youth Development Advocates (YDAs) from Kalamazoo to collaborate with YDAs from Singapore to share best practices around Critical Youth Development, Social Emotional Learning, Restorative Justice, and other topics. This will afford participants not only the opportunity to connect and collaborate with their peers in this important and impactful field in our community, but also for them to learn, share, and analyze their experiences with fellow advocates for youth development in Singapore.
